Dr. Kiran C. Patel Multi-Specialty Hospital is a world-class facility built for the benefit of thousands of poor tribal patients of the Dang district and surrounding impoverished areas in Gujarat, India. It is being supported by many kind-hearted people of India and the United States of America, including Dr. Kiran C. Patel, a very successful cardiologist and philanthropist based in Tampa, Florida, USA.
The facility was developed with the simple goal of bridging the gap between the finest healthcare system currently available in the USA with Dang, Gujarat, India, where basic coordinated healthcare is not easily accessible. Through the efforts of Nova Southeastern University’s medical team and other universities in the USA, the facility has the potential to become a model facility that can be implemented in many tribal areas in need across India.
The hospital is an ideal place to carry out credible research activities and treat thousands of patients requiring various medical and dental treatment. We plan to complete a school health assessment program to prevent major illnesses in the future, develop community-based sustaining programs for long-term healthcare, and provide training and employment to 25-30 tribal women annually. Dr. Kiran C. Patel Multi-Specialty Hospital is instrumental in fulfilling scientific, healthcare, and philanthropic activities outlined by the Kantilal J. Patel Charitable Trust (India) and the Richard Condorelli Memorial Foundation (USA).
